Micro Anti Submarine Warfare (ASW) is a naval sim-lite for people who don't play naval simulators or don't want to invest hours in to one scenario.

Play as an MH-60R 'Romeo' Seahawk helicopter pilot, hunt submarines and dispatch them with torpedoes in short missions of 2-20 minutes.

About

Conceived from a 5 day personal game jam to create a game from scratch that distils the essence of a naval simulation in to something accessible to a non-sim gamer, Micro ASW contains a full suite of tutorial missions to teach you the practical skills to hunt hidden stealthy submarines using dipping sonars and sonobuoys.

Missions pit you against different scenarios which stretch your skills, with hidden complexity and depth offered by the use of real sonar weapon systems and sim calculations under the hood.

The game uses a custom engine built for this game in C#.

It's now possible to take control of the Oliver Hazard Perry class Guided Missile Frigate in some missions to assist you in hunting subs. But be careful! Losing your frigate means losing the ability to resupply your helicopter's weapons.
